YouTube Channel Tracker Goes Live

Never before has a project I’ve worked on launched with a large image of an upturned backside, but here we are! Thanks Flo Rida.

YouTube has been pouring millions of dollars into a selection of channels, and, along with digital editor Michael Learmonth and our developers, we’ve been hard at work devising a way to assess these channels on a weekly basis. The result is our Original Channel Tracker, which we nudged out into the wild last week after much work.

We were hoping for a page that would be a) easily scannable and b) very sticky, and I think we succeeded, in large part thanks to our designer Garon Benner. Our next task is to provide a bit more depth to the data without mucking that experience up.
